Armed Stay is designed for when you plan on arming the system and staying in the home. Armed Away is for when you plan on arming the system and leaving the home. Arming in the Away Mode will not automatically bypass any sensors, and the entire system, including motion sensors will be armed. “Armed Stay” will arm all of your sensors except for the motion sensors.
To activate another mode, tap the icon for Stay or Night. To pair Xfinity XHK1 keypad, add a thing on ST only AFTER the keypad is in pairing mode . If the keypad is paired correctly, you should see a solid green signal light (i.e. antenna light on the bottom left) when you press any key. Pressing the speaker icon in center bottom will make keypad beep.

If you're looking to outfit an apartment or townhouse and aren't planning to bundle Home with other Xfinity services, you might be better off with a DIY kit. Otherwise, Xfinity Home is a simple way to combine smart home tech and security. You can also integratea large and growing list of third-party devices into your Xfinity Home system. The list includes smart light bulbs from Lifx, Philips and Sengled, Chamberlain MyQ garage openers, August, Yale and Kwikset locks and even Tile trackers. Product support does change, however, so you may want to check the list before you set up an install. I certainly have those features on my personal router and have had no issues using it with Xfinity's security equipment.

Please note that you will only see the Arm Night option if you have at least one sensor with the Arm Night option enabled. The Exit Delay tone sounds and accelerates during the final 10 seconds of the delay. You can add Comcast's Zen thermostat to your Home setup. Plan lets you add up to six cameras to your home (for $120 each) with 24/7 video recording for $10 a month.
What does it mean to arm an alarm?
Honestly, you'll probably spend most of your time controlling your system with the mobile app. As I said at the top, you can do everything from arming your alarm to checking your cameras and recordings to setting up automations. Want a lamp to turn on when your motion sensor is tripped and then turn itself off five minutes later? How about getting a push notification when a door or window opens? You can set up each of those in under a minute with a few taps.
Pressing the circle arrow icon will turn the keypad off. Does anyone happen to have a user manual for this keypad? I can’t figure out how to put it into pairing mode. The only difference is that any Interior Zones with the Arm Night setting enabled will not be bypassed when the system is set to Arm Night mode.
How do I silence my alarm?
The installers also updated my touchscreen security panel -- the Xfinity Home Station -- to what customers would have in their homes today. The Keypad has a proximity sensor that senses when you are within six inches. When the Keypad wakes up, the LED indicators at the top and bottom of the Keypad will flash the status color. The Lock button will illuminate in the status color. Later after spending several days I realized that it’s not FULLY paired although it’s showing up on the ST devices.
At the heart of the system at home is the Xfinity Home Station. Designed by Comcast, it has a better display and processing power than its predecessor for smoother, more responsive performance. As I popped through menus and settings, I noticed considerably less lag than the one I had used. Picture quality from the cameras is also improved, making it easier to keep an eye on things without looking at my phone. The Home Station has a 4G cellular radio and a backup battery, just in case my power and internet go down.
Xfinity Home Security Review: The Best Professionally Installed Home Security System
You can also skip the recordings and simply use the cameras to receive activity notifications. Past few days I’ve been trying to use the Xfinity keypads. I was able to get Centralite 3400 working but no matter what device handler I tried, Xfinity XHK1-TC never worked. Touching keypad and long beep after pressing correct PIN code and pressing A. When set to Stay, your security system simply deactivates motion detectors, leaving the rest of your sensors active and primed for alert. Use the stay function on the keypad when you plan on staying home. When your alarm is in stay mode all the interior zones, such as the motion detectors, will be circumvented. This means the alarm won’t be triggered should you get up in the middle of the night for a glass of water.
However, because the xFi gateway and Home Station are designed to work together, there are benefits to bundling with Xfinity's internet service. For example, the gateway's security protection for your network extends to devices connected to it, including cameras. It also has the option to pause connections to devices on the network that can be used to blackout your cameras should you want some privacy. Plus, if you change your Wi-Fi credentials, it will automatically update your Xfinity Home equipment as well. Many people think you have to fully disarm your security system when you’re in the house, but Stay mode ensures you never have to sacrifice peace of mind.

That's not to say things couldn't be better. While it's easy to set up new rules, there aren't a lot of recipes to choose from. For instance, the only thermostat-related one is for getting a notification if it gets too hot or cold in your home.
Shut and lock all of the doors in your home. The Door Chime signals when a door with a Sensor is opened or closed. Press and hold the 8 button until you get a confirmation beep (~2 seconds) to toggle the chime on or off. You can verify that the chime is enabled/disabled by opening and closing a Sensor-equipped door. ONLY NOW put the SmartThings hub in pairing more by adding a new thing. This step is very important and made a difference for me.
